A303 Amesbury Bypass
Posted by Clive Sawers

This is an isolated roundabout and has approach speed problems. The roundabout was originally designed to incorporate a flyover. This image (Jan 1999) shows the yellow bar pattern and the last of three successive count-down markers. At peak holiday times there are long queues because the A303 is single carriageway about one mile to the west - pan west to see this and the internationally famous Stonehenge.
